Texas Prairie Quilt Pattern Classes:

Wind Wheels - One session (5 hours)

It’s finished when you leave! Well, that’s what we hope. This small quilt is a great start to a quilting adventure. We will rotary cut and machine piece the pinwheels.
After stacking and sewing around the top, bottom and batting, we’ll turn the quilt inside out! We will finish by tying the quilt with love knots. Done! Easy construction and QUICK tricks...What more can you want?

Line Dancin’ - One session (3 hours)

These boots are so simple to construct that you’ll be dancin’ out of class! Easy cutting and fast construction will help you “whip” through this lap size (or larger) quilt.

Technique and Project Classes Available Include:

Crayon-colored Quilts
- One session (3 hours)

Learn the techniques for coloring blocks using crayons, permanent markers and embroidery stitches. Bring your Big Box of 96 Crayolas and let’s color! This coloring method helps you add shadow and detail to your work. It’s a modern way to color those beautiful quilt blocks published in the newspapers during the 1930’s also.

Watercolor Wallhanging
- One session (3 hours)

If you love the look of impressionist paintings, you’ll love this technique! Learn the basics of fabric reading and placement. Using fusible grid, we’ll finish the center design in class. No machine needed in class!
Classes feature watercolor design hearts, baskets, fences and wreaths. Class comes with a required kit which includes all the fabrics.

Snippet Wreath Wallhanging - One session (3 hours)

Here’s a striking door decoration or wallhanging. Choose red, white and blue or colors to match your décor. This lively wreath is a small work of art! And all you need in class is scissors and fabric! Learn the snippet technique and snip your way to success! Makes great gifts!

Fractured Flag Wallhanging
- One session-(3 hours)

Fun and fast describes this project! The top is often done when you leave class! Rotary cutting and machine piecing and then more cutting and piecing and soon the flag is flying!

Buggy Barn Crazies
- One session (4 hours)
   - A “Bring-a-Partner Free” Class

Fat quarters and a rotary cutter and a friend are almost all you need! This class is an organizing challenge—that why you need 4 hands! It’s lots of fun and your partner comes free!

Garden Twist

Beautiful flowers in a trellis setting make this quilt a delight! A few tricks will help you layout your blocks in a very pleasing design. Looks are really deceiving—it’s simple to make!

Birdhouses of Key West

Charming and colorful, this large wallhanging is a great introduction to paper piecing! Choose a fabric style you like and make it any size you wish. Home spun or brights, the birdhouses are welcoming!
